ONE-STEPS

Start all attacks with a right straight punch

Should be practiced with a left straight punch also.

(Point system used for promotional test scoring.)


1. From READY STANCE, step back with right foot into a short front stance while executing a left high block, with a right palm-heel to face simultaneously (3 points), add right toe kick to his left knee (3 points), add left knife-hand strike to right side of his neck (3 points), add right elbow smash to his face (3 points), follow-up with choke or takedown with control hold (5 points). (Total 17 points)



2. From READY STANCE, move right foot 45 degrees into a RIGHT FRONT STANCE and execute a LEFT KNIFE-HAND FOREARM BLOCK and a RIGHT KNIFE-HAND STRIKE to neck level (4 points), add left elbow smash to his face (3 points), add by pulling head down into a left knee strike to face (3 points), finish with control hold or choke out  (4 points). (Total 14 points)



3. From READY STANCE, move right foot 45 degrees to right into a HORSE STANCE and execute a LEFT KNIFE-HAND FOREARM BLOCK and a RIGHT CENTER PUNCH (3 points), then do a RIGHT SIDE-SNAP KICK to his left knee (3 points), grab his left hand and apply a finger bend-back into a control hold or choke out (4 points). (Total 10 points)



4. From a READY STANCE, step backwards with left foot into a HORSE STANCE and execute a RIGHT OUTSIDE-IN FOREARM BLOCK -- RIGHT BACK-FIST to face (3 points) -- RIGHT HAMMER-FIST to groin (3 points); execute SLIDE-THRU HAMMERLOCK to his left arm (3 points), add left or right knee to face (4 points). (Total 13 points)



5. From a READY STANCE, step backwards with left foot into a HORSE STANCE and execute a RIGHT OUTSIDE-IN FOREARM BLOCK --- RIGHT BACKFIST to face (3 points) --- Shift right foot into a FRONT STANCE with a LEFT PALM HEEL STRIKE to solar plexus (3 points) --- PIVOT to LEFT FRONT STANCE with a RIGHT POWER RIDGEHAND STRIKE to head level (5 points). (Total 11 points)



6. Assume a RIGHT FIGHTING STANCE---Execute a LEFT CRESCENT KICK BLOCK (2 points) --- RIGHT SPIN BACK KICK (3 points) --- RIGHT BACKFIST (2 points) --- Shift front foot into a FRONT STANCE and execute a LEFT POWER RIDGEHAND to the head (3 points). (Total 10 points)



7. Assume a LEFT FIGHTING STANCE---Execute a RIGHT INSIDE (reverse) CRESCENT KICK BLOCK (2 points) --- LEFT FRONT THRUST KICK to solar plexus (2 points) ---- RIGHT ROUND KICK to head level (5 points); add LEFT VERTICAL PUNCH to head (3 points); add CHOKE HOLD TAKEDOWN (5 points). (Total 17 points)



8. Assume a LEFT FIGHTING STANCE---Execute a RIGHT OUTSIDE-IN  CRESCENT KICK BLOCK (3 points) --- into a RIGHT SIDE-THRUST KICK to knee level (3 points) --- then RIGHT SIDE-THRUST KICK to middle level (5 points); follow up with LEFT ELBOW SMASH to head (4 points). (Total 15 points)



9. From READY STANCE --- Slide RIGHT foot out 45 degrees then execute a LEFT SPIN SIDE SNAP KICK to knee level (3 points) --- set foot down --- then execute a RIGHT SPIN CRESCENT KICK to head level (5 points). (Total 8 points)



10. Same as #9, but use a JUMP SPIN CRESCENT KICK. (10 points)



11. Assume a RIGHT FIGHTING STANCE --- Execute a LEFT FRONT SNAP KICK to groin level (3 points), setting foot down in front of right foot --- Execute a LEFT JUMPING FRONT SNAP KICK to face level (4 points) and set foot down in front of right foot --- Execute a RIGHT JUMP ROUND KICK to head level (7 points). (Total 14 points)



12. From a READY STANCE, step to LEFT 30 degrees into a LEFT FRONT STANCE and execute a RIGHT OUT-to-IN KNIFE-HAND BLOCK (3 points) and turn it into a GRAB with that hand --- RIGHT INSIDE CRESCENT KICK to elbow (4 points) --- RIGHT SIDE-THRUST KICK to ribs (4 points) --- RIGHT JUMP SIDE-THRUST KICK to head (4 points). (Total 15 points)



13. From a READY STANCE, step to RIGHT 45 degrees into a RIGHT FRONT STANCE with a LEFT REVERSE PUNCH to solar plexus (3 points) --- PIVOT into a LEFT FRONT STANCE with a LEFT OUTER FOREARM KNIFE-HAND BLOCK and a RIGHT REVERSE PUNCH to rib cage (4 points); add SLIDE-THRU HAMMERLOCK to his LEFT ARM (3 points); switch to GOOSE-NECK on left arm (3 points), then into FINGER-LOCKS (3 points), into ARM-BAR takedown using left arm (7 points). (Total 23 points)



14. From a READY STANCE, step to LEFT 45 degrees into a HORSE STANCE with a LEFT OUTSIDE-IN PALM-BLOCK and RIGHT CENTER PUNCH (4 points) --- PIVOT into a RIGHT FRONT STANCE with a LEFT REVERSE PUNCH (3 points) --- PIVOT into a LEFT FRONT STANCE with a RIGHT PALM-UP KNIFE-HAND STRIKE to solar plexus (4 points); execute a MAJOR HAND THROW takedown with controlling follow-up (6 points). (Total 17 points)



15. From READY STANCE, step forward into a LEFT BACK STANCE with a LEFT INSIDE-OUT MIDDLE FOREARM BLOCK (3 points) --- shift LEFT foot into a LEFT FRONT STANCE with a RIGHT REVERSE PUNCH (3 points) --- Step up into a READY STANCE with the RIGHT and execute a RIGHT UPWARD ELBOW STRIKE to chin (5 points); execute an ALL-DIRECTION THROW and follow-up with a control hold (7 points). (Total 18 points)



16. Assume a LEFT BACK STANCE---execute a RIGHT JUMP SPIN HOOK KICK to HEAD level (8 points) --- then a RIGHT JUMP SPIN BACK KICK to MIDDLE level (8 points), then a LEFT REVERSE PUNCH to face level (3 points). (Total 19 points)

One-Steps 1-29


10th Gup

1. Step right 45 degrees into horse stance with left Knife-hand block, then 3 punches, (face, stomach, groin)

2. Step left 45 degrees into horse stance with right knife-hand block, Then 3 punches, (face, ribs, face)



9th Gup

3. Step right 45 degrees with long front stance with left knife-hand block, then pivot stance with right punch to face, then pivot stance with left punch to middle, then slide left leg to right and right round kick to face.

4. Same as 3 but other side.

5. Step back with right to left front stance with left knife-hand block, back leg front kick landing forward in front stance with two chops to temples then grab head and knee to face



8th Gup

6. Step with right leg 90 degrees to left front stance while doing a right outside to inside block, left punch to face with pivot, right punch to middle with pivot, now move left leg to right and do a right side kick to middle.

7. Same as 6 but other side.

8. Step left 45 degrees with long front stance with right knife-hand, do 2 right round kicks to middle and before placing foot down do right leg sweeping heel-hook kick to calf of their front leg taking them down, turn clockwise and right side kick down to their face.



7th Gup

9. Step forward with left leg to front stance and do left outside to inside palm push block at same time do right palm strike to groin, now do a right ridge hand to the side of neck and at same time a right leg back sweep to their front foot taking them down.

10. Step forward with left leg to front stance and do left outside to inside palm push block, step with back foot spinning backwards going forward with right elbow to back of head, Now reach up and over their head and strike windpipe with inside of arm at same time sweep with right leg to take down.

11. Step deep left 45 degrees into front stance with right soo do block, grab hand while doing 2 right round kicks to mid, then right side kick to side of knee (they kneel down) right hook to back of neck and right round to face.



6th Gup

12. Step in with left foot to the outside of their foot to front stance while doing a left to right palm push block immediately follow with right back hand to their elbow, a ox jaw to their side then reach up with ridge hand to their neck while doing a right foot back sweep to their front foot to take down and secure.

13. Step in with right foot to horse stance at 90 degrees with right outside forearm block, right elbow to mid, right back fist to face, pivot right foot back 90 degrees to front stance while doing a left upward palm strike to their right jaw, then a right to their left jaw, shifting your weight back do a right front kick to groin immediately follow with left front kick to face.

14. Step in with left foot to horse stance at 45 degrees in close with left rising block, do a right forward elbow strike to ribs, step through with right foot to back stance with a left back elbow strike to ribs, now a right back elbow strike to back, reach under their arm to ridge hand to neck while doing a right leg back sweep with take down and secure.



5th Gup

15. Step deep left 45 degrees into front stance with right soo do block, do a right round kick to mid, place foot down be side your left foot, now do a left spin crescent kick C.C.W. To mid placing your foot behind theirs while doing a left soo do strike to their elbow followed by right punch to jaw, with your left hand grab their shoulder push forward then pull back while taking your left foot forward to sweep and take down. (Let go of shoulder) Turn C.W. 180 degrees with right low sidekick at them on the floor.

16.  Step left with right foot forward to cat stance @ 45 degrees to opponent with right soo do block, slide into horse stance with right elbow to ribs, pivot on right foot sliding left foot C.C.W. back through into back stance behind opponent while taking left hand raking up the face to eye sockets pulling head back, then do a left leg scoop kick to the back of their left leg as they kneel down, pulling head back do a right downward elbow strike to their face while pivoting into horse stance.

17.  Step left with right foot forward to cat stance @ 45 degrees to opponent with right soo do block, slide into front stance behind their front leg while doing double hammer fist, (front and back) kneel down to right knee spin C.C.W. while placing hands on ground and do a left hook kick up to their solar plexus, take your left foot down in front of their front foot spin C.W. placing you right foot behind their knee pushing them forward and down still spinning lift left foot up (ankle to ankle) and back into them, now do a left round kick to head. (You are now facing the ground)



4th Gup

18.  Step left with right foot forward to cat stance @ 45 degrees to opponent with right soo do block, slide into front stance behind their front leg while doing double hammer fist, (front and back) kneel down to right knee spin C.C.W. while placing hands on ground and do a left hook kick up to their solar plexus, place your left foot on the ground, now do a right leg back sweep to their front leg to take down, do a right leg round kick to their mid (you are both laying on the ground) spin C.C.W. and do a left downward heel kick to face.

19. Two Punches : Step forward to a left front stance with a right mid punch and a left to right palm push block with your left hand, as they throw the second punch you block with right outside back hand block, then do a right inverted soo do to their neck at the same time doing a right leg back sweep to their front leg to take down and secure.

20.  Two Punches : Step forward to a left front stance with a right mid punch and a left to right palm push block with your left hand, as they throw the second punch you block with right outside back hand block, then do a right high elbow strike to face, then a back elbow strike to face, now grab the back of their neck with right hand and pull down to a right knee strike, stepping out to horse stance and do a left downward elbow strike to their back.


One-Steps Blue and Red Belts 21-29


3rd Gup

21 Right outside knife-hand block, grab hand and twist Clockwise, take left forearm to their extended arm's elbow to smash, take left foot up and over their front foot to a back sweep to their front foot taking them down and secure.

22   Slide back with right foot to left front stance while doing a left high block, now step forward outside and behind their front foot to right front stance and do a right elbow strike to their mid section, now do a right leg back sweep to the back of their front foot to take down grabbing their blocked hand on their way down and secure.

23  Step back with right foot to fighting stance with left outside to inside forearm block to elbow, spin 180 degrees Clockwise forward with right leg to fighting stance and right hammer fist to side of neck, reach around front of neck and ridge hand their neck towards you at same time do a right foot back sweep to take down and secure.



2nd Gup

24  Step back with left foot to right fighting stance with right outside knife-hand block, grab wrist and do right high round kick sit foot down on outside of their front foot, then twist their hand back into them with both hands into a gooseneck hold, sweep their front leg back with your right to take down and secure.

25  Step back with left foot to back stance with right hand outside to inside forearm block, slide in to horse stance with right elbow to mid section, twist to right front stance with left elbow to face, grab opponent's left shoulder with both hands and pull them down while doing left knee strike to mid section.

26  Both in right foot back fighting stances: Attacker does a back leg front kick, Opponent with left leg forward lunges forward with left leg at 45 degrees and does a right hand down and outward palm block evasion , follow up with a left punch to face, then a right front kick to groin, a left side kick, now a jump spinning right leg outside crescent kick.

26A. Same as 6 but other side.



1st Gup

27  Both in right leg back fighting stances: Attacker steps in with right lunge punch; Opponent sets back and high blocks, and then steps forward with right mid lunge punch while attacker backs up with right foot to side horse stance and does a elbow up inside forearm block then spins in place Clockwise with right knife-hand attack while opponent steps back with right leg to left front stance with right high block, Opponent now does a right leg spinning wheel kick then a right leg mid front kick.

28  Both in right leg back fighting stances: Attacker slides in with right reverse punch, opponent sets back with high block, then does a reverse punch without stepping, attacker does a left down and outward palm block, then does a right leg round kick, Opponent traps leg with left hand under and behind knee, does a right spear hand to groin , then steps in with right leg behind attackers supporting leg and does a back sweep and at the same time does a right open hand neck strike to take down and secure.

29. Both in right leg back fighting stances: Attacker steps in with right lunge punch, Opponent sets back with high block and does a right reverse punch then a right leg high round kick, While the attacker slides back (without switching legs) to avoid kick, now attacker does a left leg back kick, Opponent does a clockwise left leg spinning outside crescent kick.
